Vaccum Hot Furnace

Name of the equipment: 5 Tonne vacuum hot press unit (chamber size 17 cm x 17 x cm 17 cm approximately)

Utility: It is used for heating an object up to a maximum temperature of 1000 0C in a vacuum environment of 10-6 milibar. Provision is also there for applying a load of maximum 5 tonne with or without heating as well as with or without vacuum condition. The equipment has several applications including sample preparation for the purpose of material characterisation and doing intermetallic diffusion bonding for fabrication purposes.
